Customer Support Check-List
If you are experiencing difficulty building your Aviation Products pedal plane kit, please complete the following steps before contacting Aviation Products customer support via email.
1. Familiarize yourself with the plans. There is alot of information packed into the plans that come with your pedal plane kit. Study them, review them carefully. Become familiar with the markings and drawings.
2. Check your parts. Match each part of your wood kit to the plans, and number them to match. The instructions refer to each numbered part, and having the parts labeled with save time and frustration.
3. Read The Instructions. This might sound simple, but sometimes the more you read the instructions, the clearer they become. Read through, or at least read ahead as you prepare for each step of construction.

Q. What tools are required to build a pedal plane?
A. Please watch our instructional video on tools. It contains a full overview of the various tools required. Instructional Videos
Q. What is the easiest/hardest pedal plane to build.
A. Each kit presents it's own challenges. Customers with little build experience may wish to start with the P-51 Mustang or Pitts Special/Eagle. The GeeBee and J3 Cub will require builders to pay close attention to their instructions, and require more advanced techniques.
Q. How long does it take to build a pedal plane?
A. Build times may vary based on the kit you select. A pedal plane kit can usually be assembled in 40-60hrs.
Q. What wood glue should I use to build my pedal plane?
A. Titebond II wood glue. Available at most retail DIY stores or your loal hardware store.
Q. What kind of epoxy should I use to assemble the pedal crank pulley?
A. We reccomend JB Weld, two part, 24hr set epoxy. This is available at most retail chains, and DIY stores.
Q. Will you be making instructional videos for models other than the P-51?
A. Yes, we have plans to add more instructional videos. Customers are still encourgaed to review the P-51 videos as they contain many of the processes and skills that builders can apply to almost any of our kits.
